Jan Willem van Dam (1962, Dokkum) was born on the boat ’Overal Thuis’ (At Home Everywhere). He attended secondary school in fits and starts, before pursuing a career as an autodidact. He collects amateur films, is a film maker, editor, programmer, producer, cameraman and lover of the unappreciated.
