Melissa Grey - Self Portrait
Self Portrait is composed of one photograph presented 360 times, each iteration rotated one degree clockwise. The narration, following the tone of Proust’s questionnaire, is a series of questions without answers. Scored for two narrators, flute, harp and violin.
Works include live electroacoustic performances, field recordings, questionnaires and sound maps, media installations and music and sound for radio, film and video, as well as concert works for ensembles and chamber..
