João Krefer (Curitba, Brazil, 1987) studies at the South-American Film & TV School (CINETVPR) from the Paraná Art College (FAP).

His works include film/video, photography, visual arts and performance, dealing with topics such as existence, identity and belonging, often in contexts of contrast between personal views and the common sense.

Presentations have been made at the 57th Belgrade International Documentary & Short Film Festival (Serbia), 9th DocuDays – Beirut International Documentary Film Festival (Lebanon), 21st Curta Cinema – Rio de Janeiro International Short Film Festival (Brazil), Desvenda Contemporary Art Fair (Brazil) and the MINA 2011 – International Mobile Innovation Screening (New Zealand), as well as awards received at the 5th Vivo ARTE.MOV – International Mobile Art Festival (Brazil), 8th Naoussa International Film Festival (Greece) and the Hong Kong International Mobile Film Awards 2011 (Hong Kong/China), among others.

He is currently preparing the multimedia exhibition Translucent - Images and Movements by Arthur Tuoto & João Krefer at the internationally-renowed Oscar Niemeyer Museum (Brazil).
