Streaming Festival 7th edition 1 to 9 December 2012
Exploring television on the internet with six video art channels
Instead of making use of the many internet possibilities for displaying art, we chose to present this editions film and video's in six channels. Which works basically just like television. These six channels were simultaneously streamed, and looped for the whole duration of the festival. Each channel was approximately between 1.5 and 2 hours long. With this different approach, the festival hopes to bring back the element of surprise, and stimulate the discovery of new works of art that otherwise might have been missed.
Obviously we want to keep all visitors happy, and therefore made this editions films also accessible on-demand on the pages of the artists.
In addition to the video art streams, the 7th edition also showed Sound and 2D

Finally, when we close the curtains of the 5th edition on the 11th of December, you can view the She shot pretty nice windmills program. The program is a research in diversity represented by six women from the Netherlands each with their own distinctive style. Besides working with video, they use a wide range of media to express their artistic concepts. The possibilities offered by their cross-media approaches reflect in these works, and the borders between moving images and stills fade.
[.BOX] Open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 18.30 to 20.30. Via Confalonieri 11 20124 Milano - Italy
