The festival uses different media playing methods

Silverlight

Silverlight is the main program used at the Streaming Festival for broadcasting films and bumpers. Play buttons on pages will point to the Silverlight player.

Microsoft Silverlight is a programmable web browser plugin that enables features such as showing video's.

It is compatible with multiple web browser products used on Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating systems.

Other media playing methods and alternative players are available during the actual festival.

Minimum system requirements

Requirements

All you need is an internet connection (broadband offers obviously the best quality), and the latest codecs.

Windows users
You need the latest windows media codec.

For mac users there is the free program flip4mac.

Plugins

Download browser plugins

Streaming Festival video streams are encoded in the windows media format (.wmv). To view the video's you might need to download an additional plug-in for your browser.
