Gokhan Okur
This months program is a collection of five animations made by artist Gökhan Okur.
Working mainly as an illustrator, Okur experimented by adding time to his illustrations.
From these experiments the animations occurred.
His animation Last train ride was featured in our first edition of the festival in 2006. We’re proud to welcome him back with the première of his latest work: "Off the phone".

While I was living in Texas, in Denton in particular, I discovered garage and estate sales. Something I never saw living in Mexico. People sell everything and anything there. I was surprised to find that sometimes people let go their family memories in such sales. Then, I became fascinated by the possibility of "owning" these memories that were not mine.

Interview with Christian Schlaeffer
We had the opportunity to ask a couple of questions to Christian Schlaeffer author of The Return of John Frum animation featured in the June 2010 program: Systems.
Google says he studied communication-design at the university of applied sciences augsburg, Germany, where he contributed to the university’s comic-magazine "strichnin" and graduated in 2010 with an animated short named "the return of john frum". Some sources also state that he´s an odd cat.

Home sweet home videos wanted
Art, experimental and performance videos dealing with the theme of "Home Sweet Home" are wanted for the International Performance and Videoart Festival.
Johnny Amore is creating a selection for “Home Sweet Home”, an Videoart Festival from the 9-10th July, organized by GlogauAir at Werkstatt der Kulturen in Berlin Neukölln.
Within the Videoart works there will be a selection of 2 winners for the:
“Ámister Art Friendly Award” who will receive an invitation for a weekend in Barcelona to participate in the Loop Video Art Fair 2011.

The 4th edition has come to an end.
After ten days of film and videos the 4th edition ends right here. We’ll start preparing new exciting programs right away which are scheduled for 2010.
Chronologically speaking though; next month, in December, there’s going to be the Dream Machine Soundtrack program. Don’t worry about watching, this time you just have to listen to soundtracks.

Upload your stills or photographs
The Streaming Stills exhibition will have photographs on one side, while stills can be uploaded by anyone through this site.
The stills will be streamed directly from the internet and projected in the BH139 gallery between 20 and 27 November, but can also be viewed on this website between 20 and 30 November.
