Instead of having the festival online once per year, it will now stream a festival program each month. The festival is concluded at the end of the year by a short offline event in December, in The Hague.
Having a screening at physical location brings new possibilities, but also imposes a limit on the amount of works we can show. Therefore, between 10 and 20 artists will receive an invitation by the Streaming Festival to be included in this screening.
Each month a new festival program
Every month a selection of submissions will take place. Selected artists will receive a notification within one week after their submission date.
The monthly programs only show the latest selected works, and are online for the duration of one month. During that month the videos are also shown on the artists pages. After that, the videos are taken offline. However, artists always have the choice to add their work to the permanent collection. The permanent collection is on-demand available on the Streaming Festival, and is not connected to the 9th edition.
We noticed it is time to improve the website and bring new features which will benefit both artist and viewer. The reconstruction is scheduled to start at the end of January, and will last for at least one month.
Open call for submissions
From 2014 on you can only send submissions through wetransfer.com (or a similar service).
We won't accept preview links through vimeo anymore, because it simply did not work. We received too many protected preview links without getting the access key to it, or links disappeared from vimeo or weren't send to us in the first place.
