David Anthony Sant Metropol Drift Reaction Metropol Drift Reaction by David Anthony Sant is a visual essay somewhat akin to the works of British filmmaker John Smith. By dissecting the city’s urban elements into categories, such as neon signage, road works, and the well-known and recognisable fish symbol interwoven with fishermen and live fish in tanks, the film rationalises what is otherwise a hectic and overwhelming environment of Seoul. There is certainly a degree of familiarity with the place, which a first time visitor would perhaps be lacking.
