For a Change is an invitation and a cue for everyone to interpret their own daily lives in a less usual way. There is a hidden complexity in the banal day-by-day but we need to take a deeper look to experience that.We are both amazed with the possibilities of the urban life and we want everyone to join us.

Last year in 2010 Hisa was the winner of the first Left Field Award with his film NearbyThe jury was impressed by the observational skills of the director. The opening images of hanging laundry from similar windows had us hooked immediately and made us curious.

About Miriam
Miriam Homem de Mello was born in February 1963, in Sao Paulo.She has studied Literature and Philosophy and worked with writing and design before dedicating herself to digital photography in 2005.
The artist took a part in several exhibitions in Brazil and in April 2010, she made her first international one at Basel, Switzerland.
Miriam uses photography to express her dialogue with the city. She discover at the walls and pavements ephemeral details that suggest unusual scenes. Her photos evoke the fiction inherent to reality.
