Meredith Shapiro Toto
Meredith Toto is a fine artist who works in painting, drawing and video to express her conceptual ideas. Her most current body of work explores not just the imagery and social response to the present Swine Flu pandemic, but also the viral spread of information about its danger.
Meredith is a New York based artist who has exhibited in such galleries at the Mill Pond House in St James and the Pen and Brush Gallery in New York City, and is preparing for a solo exhibit at Something Special in Kingston, PA.
Her artworks from past series, such as BandAid and Love, have been selected for awards by Justin Camino and Morley Safer respectively. She looks forward to earning her MFA degree from Long Island University in the spring of 2011.
