Harvested mp4 files from Twitter’s video service, Vine, are arranged and structured through their own internal, user defined form of categorization, the hashtag. In this instance, files for the hashtags #philosophy, #glitch, and #landscape are collected, scanned and recombined to deconstruct their concepts from their internet and social media based, contextual origins. By phrasing, recontextualizing and layering these hashtags, this work redefines contemporary concepts through a rendered and consciously disjointed assemblage.
