Who is Manon Bovenkerk?
I am a visual artist living and working in the Hague. I also work as a curator, formally independently for organizations such as Urban Explorers Festival, CBK Dordrecht and Nieuwe Vide, and currently for ZAAL5, platform for moving images at Filmhuis Den Haag.
My work consists of drawings and animation films. Drawing is the starting point, but there is always a strong narrative element in my drawings that might lead to an animation film.

Will you feed me to the crocodiles (Wil je me voeren aan de krokodillen) is a videoclip that I made for Goslink (Harm Goslink Kuiper). It is a commission by the Tax-videoclipfonds, a foundation that aims to promote experimental Dutch videoclips and a more extensive collaboration between visual artists/filmmakers and musicians.
The videoclip is about a monkey that yearns for beautiful girls and the jungle, while the city around him slowly falls into decay.
