"Baguette Walk" is a single-channel video work in which a small video camera was attached to the longest baguette available in the city of Nantes, France. In the original 40 minute version, the duration of the video corresponds to the length of time it took the filmmaker to eat the whole baguette while walking around in the city. Half-lost and part sightseeing, the video documents the journey of purchasing salamis and wine, and an attempt to get the perfect cheese for the baguette. Through this work, the daily ritual of the locale is highlighted, as well as presenting a new look of the familiar neighborhood from a bread’s point of view.
