"971 horses + 4 zebras" consists of various images of horses appropriated from the Internet, sequenced to create a galloping motion. Modelled after Eadweard Muybridge’s "The Horse in Motion" (1878), the work suggests the ambiguity of visual perception, as we vacillate between knowing that there are multiple horses and perceiving that there is only one.
