Your film is about?
One minute one take film that literally turns the world upside down, repositioning the antarctic at the top of the world and making us think about the politics of geography. With sung voice-over.

How did you start with film? And do you have an educational background in art or film?
I am an outsider artist - with no educational background in arts or film. I have picked it up as I went along - trying and making mistakes, nothing more than that. I like thinking filmically and love experimenting
Could you explain how you work, what themes or concepts you use and what is important to you?
I work intuitively - there are themes but they are mostly poetic - and the words usually come first with visuals / sound coming afterwards
How long do you usually work on one project?
Varies hugely - tho I am a slow worker and usually think on an idea for a long period of time before I make it happen
Do you carefully plan the production process or do you work more intuitive?
Intuitively, definitely
How does the title relate to the work, and how do you find a fitting title?
This title is very direct and obvious. Sometimes titles are - sometimes more impressionistic
Where do you get your ideas or inspiration from?
Daydreaming
How important is sound in film, and if you use sounds, do you create your own or use existing?
Sound is an integral part. I create my own - I like soundmapping and regularly record ambient sounds then manipulate these and lay down a soundtrack underpinning the film
How important is the reaction to your film by the audience?
I made a transition from making work because I had to get it out of me and wanting to also get it in front of people. I want my work to be seen and shared and hopefully touch on other people in the world
What is your next project about?
I"m making a disability arts film for dash to be shown at the mac in birmingham in 2015. Its about the absence of disability arts from timelines of arts movements
